Full job description

Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Providing mechanical design engineering & problem solving expertise to the pharmaceutical industry.
Complete reverse engineering of various components from measurement to production.
Technical support for production, sales and marketing.
Taking ownership for the cross-functional activities required to resolve complex issues, always with the aim of continuous process improvement.
Project manage multiple projects simultaneously,
Provide feedback to the project and design teams based on findings and lessons learned. The aim is to create new and improved design systems that will prevent problem reoccurrence.

Requirements:

Essential

o Degree in Mechanical Engineering Qualification or equivalent

o Recent relevant industrial experience - Ideally 5+ years

o Experience with 3D CAD (NX Preferably) and 2D CAD.

o Excellent Communication Skills, Verbal, Computer and Presentational.

o A strong background in problem solving techniques.

o Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team involving production, sales & marketing.

Beneficial

o Knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging and/or aerospace component design

o Demonstrable innovation and creativity in finding practical solutions in a manufacturing environment

o Designing and developing products from concept to production.

o Creating and working with detailed drawings and drawing controls,

o DFM techniques

o Design review procedures

o Experience using CMM measurement equipment.

o Working within quality systems e.g. ISO9001, EASA Part 21G, AS9100.
