Pharmacy Technician - Administrative Role (Non-Customer Facing)
About Us:
Whelehans is a trusted community pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in an administrative capacity. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of monthly claims and supporting our nursing home patients under the PCRS (Primary Care Reimbursement Service) and Hardship Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Claims Management: Accurately prepare and submit monthly claims to the PCRS, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Hardship Scheme Administration: Manage and process claims under the Hardship Scheme for nursing home patients, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and organised records of all claims, correspondence, and relevant documentation.
- Liaison with PCRS: Act as the primary point of contact for any queries or follow-ups related to submitted claims.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure all necessary information is collected and processed efficiently.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with any changes inPSI & PCRS guidelines and ensure that all claims are in line with the current standards.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy & dispensing experience. Ideally a qualified technician.
- Strong understanding of the HSE PCRS schemes
- Excellent administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, pharmacy management systems).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the pharmacy team and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
