The Role

We are looking for a motivated Semi-Senior or Part-Qualified Accountant with previous experience in an accountancy practice to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, gaining valuable exposure across a wide range of industries while continuing to build their technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is progressing towards a professional accounting qualification and is seeking to develop their career within a dynamic and expanding practice, with clear opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of management accounts
Preparation and review of VAT returns
Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Assisting clients with accounting, taxation and compliance queries
Maintaining strong client relationships
Working to deadlines and managing multiple assignments
Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
Assisting with the training and support of junior team members
Using accounting software and cloud-based accounting systems

Requirements

Previous accountancy practice experience is essential
Qualified Accounting Technician or part-qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation and compliance requirements
Experience using accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage client deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Professional approach and excellent client service skills
