Full job description

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) invites applications for the following teaching position, expected to arise in Monaghan Institute PLC during the 2026/2027 academic year. A panel may be formed from which similar appointments may be made.

Vacancy: Teacher of Pharmacy - Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) in conjunction with the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU), for approximately 1-hour and 45-minutes per week, term-time only (a maximum of 50-hours during the 2025/26 academic year).

Venue: Monaghan Institute PLC., Armagh Road, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan.

Essential Criteria: Must be a qualified Pharmacist

Modules will include,

Medicine Counter Customer Service
OTC Medicines PSI Regulations
Gastrointestinal Conditions and Treatment (Upper Digestive)
Gastrointestinal Conditions and Treatment (Lower Digestive)
Respiratory Conditions and Treatments
Pain Types and Treatments
Skin Conditions and Treatments
General Illness and Treatments
Smoking Cessation Products
Vitamins, Minerals and Nutritional Dietary Supplements
