Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitoring of the Food Safety Management system, including the HACCP plan, pre-requisite programme and documented SOPs within the business to ensure Food Safety.

· Reporting to the Technical Manager on the performance against standards of the site. Ensuring compliance with Legislation, BRC, and retailer/ customer standards.

· Support and risk manage process change initiatives to ensure appropriate level of validation and verification.

· To conduct Internal audits across the site and communicate the results of internal audits and work with Management and supervisors on effective close outs.

· Involvement in projects, ensuring completion within agreed timeframes and involving key stakeholders.

· Apply Lean manufacturing principles daily in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and change management.

· To monitor Production Quality KPI’s and proactively report trends and liaise with production teams in problem solving.

· Complete complaint investigations, completing root cause analysis and ensuring that corrective and preventative actions are put in place in a timely manager.

· Collaborate with Production teams and Maintenance teams to set standards, solve problems, and implement corrective actions.

Essential Criteria

Background in a Food Science related discipline.

· Food safety and Quality mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and delivering right results first time.

Have knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, knowledge of food legislation, GFSI standards including BRC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
A wiliness to drive continuous improvement.
Must be highly motivated.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Must be a Team Player.
Must have a ‘can do’ attitude.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

· Excellent Organisational and time management skills.
