Full job description

Care About You is a 100% Irish-owned home care company, founded in 2012 and based in Shannon, Co. Clare. Since then, we’ve expanded with offices in Athlone (Midlands), Galway, Cork and Dublin.

We are an approved HSE Elderly and Disability Care provider, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older people and individuals with disabilities — both through HSE-funded and private services.

Our mission is simple: to support people to live independently and with dignity in their own homes, close to family, friends, and community.

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our growing team.

You’ll be responsible for providing person-centred care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Providing personal care and assistance with daily living.
Supporting with light household duties and meal preparation.
Offering companionship and social engagement.
Following individualised care plans.
Promoting independence and dignity at all times.

Experience & Qualifications

QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification (preferred).
Must include Care of the Older Person and Care Skills modules.
Applicants currently enrolled in QQI Level 5 will also be considered.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for most roles).
1 year of care experience preferred, but not essential.
Manual Handling training (preferred; can be arranged during induction).
Must complete Garda Vetting and provide satisfactory references.
