Job Title: Electrical LV Switchgear Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical LV Switchgear Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and technically compliant cost estimates for low-voltage (LV) switchgear projects. The role involves managing estimation processes, coordinating with engineering and sales teams, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end estimation process for LV switchgear projects.
Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine project scope.
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, engineering, and overheads.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate technical and commercial inputs.
Analyze project risks and opportunities to optimize pricing strategies.
Develop and maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and historical project data.
Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, BS, or local regulations).
Participate in bid reviews, client meetings, and technical clarifications.
Mentor and guide estimation engineers within the team.
Continuously improve estimation tools, templates, and processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, electrical trades or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical switchgear estimation or related electrical estimation roles.
Strong understanding of LV switchgear systems, panels, and components.
Proven experience in handling large-scale tendering and bidding processes.
Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, ANSI, etc.).
Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office tools (especially Excel).

Preferred Experience

Experience working with electrical contractors or switchgear manufacturers

Salary dependant on experience.

Pay: €50,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
