Pipelayer / Groundworker / Excavator Driver
Join Wills Bros on the Dublin Airport West Apron Vehicle Underpass, a major civil engineering and groundworks project delivering a 1.1 km underpass beneath live taxiways and runway infrastructure.
We are hiring experienced Pipelayers, Groundworkers and Excavator Drivers to support excavation, drainage, ducting, trenching and pipe laying works on this high-profile airport infrastructure project.
You will join the project team within a Joint Venture delivery model, contributing to a complex, safety-critical airport construction project in a live operational environment.
The successful candidates will carry out essential civil engineering and groundworks activities, helping to deliver excavation, trenching, ducting, drainage and pipe installation works in line with project specifications and Health & Safety standards.
Applicants must meet all regulatory security requirements, including clearance by the relevant aviation authorities and An Garda Síochána, to obtain and maintain airside security clearance and an Airport ID pass.
About the Role
These roles are best suited to candidates with practical experience on civil engineering, utilities or heavy construction sites, particularly in drainage, ducting, trenching, machine operation and general site works.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out civil engineering and groundworks activities as directed on a large-scale Dublin Airport infrastructure project
- Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators where applicable
- Assist with excavation, trenching, ducting, concreting, drainage and pipe laying works
- Maintain high standards of site safety, housekeeping and work quality
- Work effectively as part of a site team, following instructions from supervisors and site management
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and airport security requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil engineering, groundworks, utilities or heavy construction
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates
- Excavator Drivers must hold valid CPCS, CSCS or equivalent plant tickets
- Experience in drainage, ducting, trenching, pipe laying or general site works is highly desirable
- Full driving licence and own transport preferred
- Good understanding of Irish Health & Safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
