ARTIST / ART TUTOR
Martin Keaveney Creative Writing work with hundreds of creative writers and literature enthusiasts annually. We recently introduced our new publishing arm, Atlantic Papers which will produce high quality books to be sold worldwide. We will shortly launch a magazine called The Ocean.
MKCW are now seeking an Artist / Art Tutor to provide original artwork for publications and provide art classes where required.
They will also provide original art pieces for book covers, graphic novels, children's books, comics, annuals and anthologies. The successful applicant will present course(s) in Art, Drawing and Graphic Production subject to requirements.
Courses may be delivered in person or online.
Requirements of the Post:
- Professional Artist (Must have exhibited professionally)
- 3rd level Art qualification
- Experience teaching art
- Facilitate creative writing workshop
- Available during some weekdays
- Committed to excellence in teaching and practice
- Other related duties
- Willing to travel (Mileage paid beyond 18km of home address)
- Willing to present courses on Zoom
Essential Candidate requirements
- 3rd level art qualification
- At least one professional exhibition
- Impeccable Presentation skills In-Person and Online
- Experience in teaching and moderating art classes workshops
- Commitment to Excellence in Teaching
- Passionate about subject area
- Able to travel to various locations if required (expenses provided)
- Willing to work with all age groups from 7-up (Garda vetting applies for underage students)

The position will be dependent on school requirements in any session and subject to a low minimum number to run.
Due to the nature of short course bookings, confirmation may not be made until 24 hours before course start date.
Remuneration: €22.50 per hour. Strong potential for advancement & additional opportunities depending on skill set.
Other course variations may also be offered.
