Eliteform Manufacturing is a precision sheet metal fabrication company dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Punch/Laser Operator to join our production team.
Position Summary
The CNC Punch/Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC punch press and laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC punch and laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and program selection as required.
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improved productivity and reduced waste.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, and other production team members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC punch press and/or laser cutting equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset.
- CNC programming knowledge is considered an advantage.
