St. Christopher's Service provides services to people with intellectual disabilities. We are a high quality, community-based service. We enable our Service Users to reach their fullest potential. We are looking for staff who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our mission and national standards, underpinned by quality and best practice and research.

St Christopher's Day Services
The post holder will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centred care, to promote optimum independence and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living. To assist and co-operate in the smooth running of the assigned area. To work directly with the Unit Head in identifying programmes/work and design activities suitable to the varying needs of the Service User.
Essential Requirements
Qualification
Minimum Ordinary Degree (HETAC Level 7) in Applied Social Studies/Social Care, Nursing or recognised equivalent.
In accordance with the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (as amended), the profession of Social Care Worker/Supervisor is regulated.
Applicants must hold full and current registration with CORU at the time of application. Applicants who do not hold full CORU registration, or whose registration is pending, in progress, applied for, or awaiting a decision, will not be considered.
Experience

Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities and Complex Needs.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role

Confidential, calm, polite and professional individual who is well presented and has a kind, calm and caring nature.
