Position: Steel Fabrication Engineer / Technical Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Steel Fabrication Engineer / Technical Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience within the Irish steel fabrication industry and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans accurately.
Prepare and update technical drawings, reports, and project documentation.
Maintain quality control procedures and associated documentation records.
Liaise with internal departments including production, design, and project management teams.
Support fabrication and production processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Monitor and maintain compliance with company and industry standards.
Assist with material selection and production planning.

Requirements

Previous experience in the Irish steel fabrication industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of steel production processes and materials.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Creo drawing software.
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication details.
Strong communication skills with fluent English (written and spoken).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software.

Desirable Skills

Experience coordinating between multiple departments.
Ability to manage documentation and reporting processes efficiently.
Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
