Person in Charge / Director of Nursing
Larissa Lodge Nursing Home

Eliza Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Person in Charge / Director of Nursing to lead Larissa Lodge Nursing Home. This is a senior management role responsible for the overall clinical governance, regulatory compliance, operational management, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the nursing and care teams, promote a culture of dignity, safety and respect, and ensure the centre remains fully compliant with HIQA standards and all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day management of the nursing home
Ensure high standards of clinical care, governance and regulatory compliance
Support, supervise and develop nursing, care and support staff
Oversee audits, quality improvement, risk management and incident reporting
Promote excellent resident, family and staff communication
Maintain inspection readiness and drive continuous improvement

Essential Requirements:

Registered or eligible for registration with NMBI
Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience
At least 3 years’ experience at CNM level or equivalent leadership role
Experience in older persons’ residential care or a similar healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and clinical governance
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Satisfactory Garda Vetting and references

Desirable:

Postgraduate qualification in management, gerontology, dementia care, quality and safety, or related area
Experience in quality improvement, risk management, budgeting or operational planning
