Childcare Worker Job Description

Job Title: Early Year Educator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, responsible, and energetic Childcare Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The successful candidate will support children’s physical, emotional, social, and educational development through daily activities, supervision, and positive interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
Assist children with meals, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines
Encourage positive behaviour and social development
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe childcare environment
Observe and report children’s progress, behaviour, and any concerns to parents or supervisors
Support children’s emotional needs and create a welcoming atmosphere
Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with parents, guardians, and team members

Requirements

Previous experience working with children preferred
Minimum Level 5 in Childcare, Early Childhood Education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, compassion, and reliability
Ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge of child protection and safety practices
First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Working Conditions

Full-time Sucessfull
Successful candidate will be required to work in both pre school and Afterschool Session
Half day every Friday

Pay: €15.00-€17.50 per hour
