Full job description

JOB TITLE: General Operator based in Carrigaline, Cork

Hassetts Bakers & Confectioners Ltd produces a luxury range of cream cakes, biscuits, cookies, crackers, and seasonal showstopper cakes for the retail market.

We are currently recruiting full-time General Operators to join our bakery team in Carrigaline, Co. Cork. The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, either 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:30pm. Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays during peak seasonal periods is required to meet business demands.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and gain valuable experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will play an important role in our fast-paced bakery operation. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to candidates who demonstrate motivation, commitment, and a willingness to learn.

MAIN DUTIES

Work safely and efficiently on production lines to support the manufacture of bakery products
Pack finished products for storage and dispatch, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet the required standards
Build, stack, and wrap pallets safely and correctly for storage and dispatch
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure production targets and deadlines are met
Complete and maintain accurate quality and production records
Adhere to all safety guideline and procedure to maintain a safe working environment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and organisation within the work area
Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the Production Manager

REQUIREMENTS

Must have permission to work in Ireland
Fluent spoken and written English
Previous food production experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Forklift licence is desirable

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Good standard of English literacy and numeracy
Excellent timekeeping and reliability
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
