Job Title: Paid Social Creative Designer & Video Editor
Location: Remote (Europe/North America preferred but open worldwide) Department: Marketing
About Us
At Savvy Navvy, we're revolutionizing leisure boating by making navigation intuitive, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned boater or just dipping your toes into boating, our app simplifies planning and navigation.
Our products include the Savvy Navvy app, available across multiple platforms and retail channels, and Savvy Integrated, an embedded solution that powers marine technologies with our charts and navigation capabilities.
We're a team that values approachability, honesty, inclusivity, grit, scrappiness, and a down-to-earth attitude in everything we do.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a creative and resourceful Growth Creative Designer to bring our brand to life across ads, campaigns, and creator partnerships — and to help us move faster by using AI as a core part of how we work.
The Role
The Paid Social Creative Designer & Video Editor will own much of the creative output that powers our growth, with a particular focus on short-form video and static advertising for paid social campaigns.
You will turn a mix of creator footage, app recordings, existing video assets, images, motion graphics, voiceovers and music into engaging ads that capture attention and drive downloads and subscriptions.
You'll work closely with our performance marketing and growth team to develop concepts, produce new creative and rapidly iterate based on campaign results. You'll also support creator relationships and produce campaign materials that keep the Savvy Navvy brand feeling authentic and polished.
This is a creative role that could suit someone approximately 1–5 years into their career who is looking to grow into a broader brand and content ownership position as the company scales. We care more about the standard of your portfolio, creative judgement and ability to produce quality work than a specific number of years' experience.
This is a full-time, hands-on production role. A significant portion of your time will be spent editing short-form video ads, designing static ads, developing variations and iterating creative based on performance feedback. It is not primarily a UI/UX, product design or high-level brand strategy role.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Ad Production: Edit engaging short-form video ads for Meta and other paid channels, combining raw footage, app recordings, images, motion graphics, captions, music and voiceovers into polished, mobile-first creative.
- Creative Concepts and Hooks: Develop strong opening hooks, angles, scripts and structures designed to stop the scroll, maintain attention and encourage users to download and subscribe.
- Static Ad Creative: Design static advertising for Facebook and Instagram, producing and testing multiple concepts and variations.
- Creative Iteration: Work with the growth team to understand campaign performance and quickly develop new versions based on what is and is not working.
- Influencer Management: Own day-to-day relationships with our influencer and creator partners, including outreach, briefing, content review and coordination of deliverables.
- Campaign Materials: Design flyers, one-pagers, branded merchandise and other collateral as campaigns and partnerships require.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure everything you produce reflects Savvy Navvy's brand voice and visual identity across channels.
- AI-Powered Workflow: Use Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools to speed up ideation, drafting, asset variations and production, treating AI as a core tool rather than an afterthought.
- Collaboration: Work closely with performance marketing across Meta, Apple Search Ads and Google, as well as product marketing, to keep creative aligned with campaign goals.
About You
- Short-Form Video Editing: Strong hands-on video-editing skills, with the ability to combine multiple source materials into clear, engaging and polished short-form ads. Your portfolio should include examples of video content or advertising that you personally edited.
- Performance Creative: An understanding of how hooks, pacing, storytelling, captions, visual hierarchy and calls to action influence the performance of paid-social creative.
- Design Skills: Proficient in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, Figma or similar, with the ability to produce high-quality static advertising alongside video content.
- Creative Resourcefulness: Comfortable producing strong creative from imperfect or limited source materials rather than relying on fully produced footage.
- Relevant Experience: Approximately 1–5 years in video editing, content creation, advertising design, social media creative or a related role. Agency and in-house experience are both welcome.
- AI Fluency: Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to work faster and smarter, with a willingness to experiment with new workflows.
- Creator Relationships: Some experience with, or a strong interest in, influencer and creator outreach and management.
- Self-Starter: Comfortable with ambiguity, able to manage your own workload and proactive about bringing ideas forward.
- Collaborative Spirit: Works effectively across teams and thrives in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
