Position: Shop Assistant / Bookseller

At Genius Juniors, we’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable person to join our team as a Shop Assistant / Bookseller. If you're someone who loves books and has a natural flair for customer service, this could be the perfect role for you!

Who We’re Looking For:

Is passionate about children’s books and the joy of reading
Has a proactive attitude and takes pride in their work
Is confident, friendly, and enjoys engaging with customers
Possesses excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail
Is reliable, conscientious, and excited to learn more about children's literature

Key Responsibilities:

As a Shop Assistant / Bookseller, your main responsibilities will include:

Assisting customers with book recommendations
Operating the point of sale system and processing transactions with accuracy
Managing cash drawer funds, paperwork, and completing closing procedures
Maintaining a well-organized and inviting shop environment through merchandising
Addressing customer queries and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
Developing a deep knowledge of children's books to enhance customer service
Managing stock, including receiving deliveries and conducting stocktakes
Packing and processing online and wholesale orders
Assisting with ad-hoc business requirements and events, as available
