Relief Care Worker Adults Residential Service – Ref 17471

Fixed Term Variable hour contract

Location: Greystones ,Co Wicklow

About the Role:

To facilitate a service user focused service to adults with Prader Willi Syndrome in a well established residential service on a relief basis.

To support the manager and team leaders of a dynamic team to provide a high quality and person centered service for all who attend. Residents are supported to enjoy new experiences and work on their independent living skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Third level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable. Minimum requirement of Fetac level 5 in social care or related discipline.
Previous experience of working with people with a disability is desirable
An understanding of current regulations and safeguarding adults is required.
Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential.
A full clean driving license would be a distinct advantage.

Your Responsibilities:

Promote and actively involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.

Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.

Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times.

Additional Requirements:

Full driving licence is essential.

If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign.

Salary starting from point 1 € 15.26 (pre hour) , plus Sleepover allowance and premium pay for bank Holiday and Sunday Shift.
