Full job description

Target & Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operator/Administrator will play a crucial role in the Warehouse function within our Gorey team at Signode. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will play a key role working alongside our Sales, Commercial and Operations functions to ensure the optimal management of supply from sources to customers.

Content of position:

Shipment and load processing as material is available for distribution.
Load planning on groupage shipments.
Ensure visitors are recorded for Health & Safety reasons.
Booking of transportation in accordance with carrier agreements and pricing
Preparation of all necessary documents for shipping such as packaging slip, B/L, labels etc.
Responsible for the movement of finished goods to external warehouses.
Inventory movement through management and stock control
Retain records of all Raw materials delivered for invoice processing.
Be responsible for housekeeping & Safety standards in the warehouse and report any issues that arise.
Support the Warehouse Manager where required with other duties or tasks including purchasing.
Research for continuous improvement, shipping, packaging & materials.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Forklift license and experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft word / excel
Experience of continuous improvement
