Full job description

Avondale Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic individual to join our team in Co. Wicklow. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position combining front-of-house customer service with hands-on animal handling. You will support our practices across Arklow, Rathdrum, and Tinahely, ensuring our clients receive a warm welcome and our patients get first-class care.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Reception

Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival.
Answer busy multi-line phone systems and schedule appointments accurately.
Manage physical and digital patient records using clinic software.
Process payments, issue invoices, and manage counter sales for pet food and supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting room area.

Animal Care Assistance

Safely and compassionately restrain pets during clinical examinations.
Feed, walk, and comfort hospitalized small animal patients.
Maintain strict hygiene standards by cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and runs.
Sanitize surgical suites, exam rooms, and equipment after use.
Prepare, reorganise and restock.
Monitor recovering animals and report any status changes to the nursing team.

Hours & Schedule

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Hours: Monday to Friday shifts, with mandatory Saturday shifts on a rotational roster basis.

Pay: From €285,000.00 per year
