Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Food Preparation Worker who will take responsibility for preparing high-quality food for both sit-in and takeaway customers while leading the day-to-day operations of the kitchen area.

The successful candidate will spend their day preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a consistently high standard, ensuring all orders are completed accurately and efficiently. They will oversee kitchen activities, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and help ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food for sit-in and takeaway customers.
Ensure all food is presented and served to a high standard of quality and consistency.
Lead and coordinate activities within the kitchen area.
Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
Keep workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas clean and sanitized.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock levels.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and company procedures.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Support and guide other kitchen staff where required.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
