Financial Controller – Temporary Site Services (Electrical & Plumbing)
Location: Glencolmcille, Co Donegal, Ireland
Contract: Part-time – 16 hrs per week

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function and support the next phase of our growth. This is a high‑impact role working closely with the Senior Management, providing financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic insight across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations Leadership — Oversee day‑to‑day finance activities including Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, cashflow, and job‑costing processes.
- Management reporting — Produce accurate monthly management accounts, board packs, weekly & monthly cashflow & liquidity forecasting and analysis reports.
- Financial controls — Oversee & strengthen internal controls for VAT preparation, compliance, reconciliations and Year-end financials.
- Budgeting & forecasting — Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts, supporting operational and commercial teams.
- Audit & statutory compliance — Manage external auditors and ensure compliance with UK GAAP.
- Process improvement — Enhance systems, reporting tools, and workflows to support efficiency and growth within the Finance Department.
- Business partnering — Work closely with the MD and Senior Management to provide insight, challenge, and strategic financial recommendations.
About You
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong technical and commercial experience highly desirable or equivalent preferred.
- Confident working in a growing SME with hands‑on involvement and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and support operational teams.
- Comfortable implementing structure, systems, and controls in a scaling environment.
