Role Description:
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives on working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and seeks to drive business growth. The successful candidate will work on projects across a wide range of sectors including the extractive and waste industry and domestic, commercial, and industrial developments. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on diverse projects in a supportive team.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage projects from conception through completion with both clients, internal teams, and external specialists to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicating with clients, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all project requirements.
- Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanála and other statutory bodies as required.
- Drive growth and development of the company.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Understand client needs, provide expert advice, and deliver high-quality environmental consulting services to meet project objectives.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, including proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Providing mentorship and direction to team members and sub-consultants.
Skills to include:
- A working knowledge and proven track record of Environmental Impact Assessment, preparation and management
- EPA Industrial Emissions Licence applications
- Preparation of discharge licence applications
- Preparation of waste licence and waste permit applications
- Working knowledge of by products (Article 27) and end of waste (Article 28)
- And other environmental reports.
Essential Requirements:
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Fluent/highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the environmental sector In Ireland or UK
- Proven expertise in Environmental Consultancy.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting environmental assessments, impact studies, and regulatory compliance assessments.
- Technical report writing skills
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
- Knowledge of EU and Irish legislation and it’s practical applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and project management abilities
- Capable of working independently and willingness to travel
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent time management
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science or a related field.
Preferred:
- Project management qualification
- Chartership in a recognized environmental professional body (e.g., IEMA, IEI, IGI, CIWM, CIWEM, CIEEM)

- Manual Handling
- First Aid
