Full job description

MPS GARAGE LTD. is looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-focused

Front Desk Service Advisor to join our busy workshop.

The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for customers and will work closely with our mechanics to ensure vehicles are booked in, repairs are scheduled efficiently, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Greet customers and understand their vehicle service and repair requirements.
Schedule and manage bookings.
Create and manage customer job cards and work orders.
Communicate with mechanics to organise and manage the daily workshop schedule.
Communicate customer requests and vehicle requirements clearly to mechanics.
Keep customers updated on vehicle progress, repair requirements, costs, and completion times.
Contact customers regarding additional work recommended by mechanics and obtain approval before work proceeds.
Prepare estimates, invoices, and other customer documentation.
Take customer payments and issue receipts.
Order vehicle parts and workshop supplies from suppliers.
Check parts orders and deliveries for accuracy.
Liaise with parts suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and delivery times.
Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, booking, and service records.
Complete general office administration, filing, emails, data entry, and paperwork.
Assist with warranty or insurance-related paperwork where required.
Handle customer concerns and requests professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Help keep the reception and customer areas organised and professional.
Support the workshop team with general administrative duties as required.

Skills & Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
Confident dealing with customers both in person and over the phone.
Good computer skills and ability to use email and garage/office software.
Strong attention to detail when dealing with bookings, job cards, parts, payments, and paperwork.
Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics and understand basic automotive terminology.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Reliable, responsible, and positive attitude.
Previous experience in motor industry is a must!

Pay: €16.00-€18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
