Full job description

Join a high-performing FP&A team and further your financial analysis experience in manufacturing finance

If you are an established Financial Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Finance Manager who is relocating or returning to Galway, or you are working in a multinational company but feel you don’t have an opportunity for career progression or further exposure, then you’ll be interested in this Senior Financial Analyst job. Working with one of the West of Ireland’s premium employers, you’ll develop your business partnering, financial analysis and budgeting skills in a globally renowned manufacturing campus. This contract position for 12-18 months has come on-stream as the company embarks on a site-wide finance programme which will see current Senior Financial Analysts move to that project and you will join the FP&A team to take responsibility for their work, so if you are confident in your ability this could be the start of something longer term due to the size of this company and their Galway finance team.

As the Senior Financial Analyst you will:

Partner with specific business units through reviewing their financial performance, managing budget creation, complete monthly reforecasts and provide capital expenditure and project accounting support for departments to include manufacturing and SG&A business areas

Own accounting, forecasting and management reporting for site inventory, product costing or fixed assets

Provide monthly KPIs and commentary on your business areas for inclusion in the executive reporting pack

Contribute to the annual budget process for 2027 and the strategic planning process for the campus for the coming 5 years

Part-take in a site wide ERP upgrade including process mapping, report generation and UAT

You will learn the cost and revenue drivers of a large scale medical device manufacturer, developing your subject matter expertise which non-financial leaders will lean on for business decision making for the rest of your career
You will work with an expert finance team who have decades of experience in budgeting, forecasting and providing financial insights to operational leaders, leveraging best-in-class technologies such as Power BI, SAP ERP, AI and robotics
It will open doors for you within this multinational company longer term while also giving you the experience you need to succeed in other manufacturing companies thus enhancing your career options

To thrive in this job you will need experience in financial or commercial analysis and collaboration with non-finance managers from any industry in addition to holding a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

The package is valued between €75,000-€85,000 including a competitive base salary, completion bonus, 8% company pension contribution, share option scheme, 2 days WFH, income protection and death in service benefit.
