Multi-Modal Operations Team Lead

Are you ready to take the next step in your logistics career and lead a high-performing global operations team?
We’re looking for a driven and people-focused Team Leader to inspire and develop a team managing international import/export shipments. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape operations, build talent, and grow into a senior leadership role.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and support a team managing global import/export shipments, ensuring every movement is tracked and delivered smoothly in line with regulations and best practice.
- Create a culture of accountability, where team members take ownership of their shipments—from accurate documentation to proactive issue resolution and cost control.
- Drive team performance against KPIs and financial targets, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and commercial awareness.
- Coach and develop your team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.
- Identify training needs and champion ongoing learning to build a highly skilled and versatile team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with high engagement and clear communication.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning, helping build a strong and sustainable team.
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and empathy, supporting a fair and inclusive workplace.
- Strengthen customer relationships, ensuring excellent service and swift resolution of any queries or escalations.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and quality across all operations.
- Look for smarter ways of working—identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
About you
- Experience in freight forwarding or global logistics operations
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready for your first step into leadership)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A passion for developing people and driving team success
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
