About us
orfix – NJB Packaging, part of orfix International, supplies flexible packaging materials and packaging solutions to customers across a range of industries. We are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Production / Warehouse Operative to join our team in Maynooth.
This is a practical, active role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy warehouse and production environment, is comfortable with physical work, and is keen to learn and develop within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include a mix of production, warehouse and general operational duties, including:
- Operating slitting machinery to convert stock into finished products.
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading trucks, deliveries and pallets.
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
- Labelling, packing and preparing products for dispatch.
- Supporting stock control, stock movements and monthly stock takes.
- Maintaining accurate warehouse and production records.
- Keeping the warehouse, production area and equipment clean, safe and well organised.
- Carrying out general housekeeping duties.
- Following all health and safety procedures, including manual handling requirements.
- Supporting other warehouse, production and operational tasks as required by management.
What we are looking for
- Good level of English, both spoken and written.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a small team.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, physically active role.
- Able to carry out manual handling duties safely.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
- Previous warehouse, production or distribution experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.
- Full driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with machinery, maintenance or manufacturing equipment is a plus, but full training can be provided.
