Senior Sous Chef

Kenny’s of Lucan – Lucan Village, Co. Dublin

Kenny’s of Lucan is a family-owned bar, restaurant and deli that has proudly served our community since 1969. Located in the heart of Lucan Village, we are passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality alongside great quality food made with the best ingredients.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in a fast-paced food environment and takes pride in consistently delivering high standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent attention to detail, proven commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for quality cooking.

The Role

Flexible shifts based on a 4-day work roster
Work alongside an experienced management and kitchen team
Opportunity to contribute creatively to menu development and special events
Competitive salary depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with HACCP and all health & safety procedures
Support menu planning and menu design
Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy service periods
Assist with ordering, stock control, and supplier management
Plan and execute food offerings for special events and functions
Monitor food margins, minimise waste, and maintain strong commercial awareness
Maintain consistently high standards of food quality and presentation

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar senior kitchen role
Experience working in a busy, fast-paced food environment
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Excellent cooking ability and passion for quality ingredients
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of food cost control, margins, and waste management
Positive attitude and team-focused approach

Salary

Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.
