About Move Physiotherapy
Move Physiotherapy is a leading sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinic based in Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan.
The clinic is led by Fiona Callan, a physiotherapist with a PhD in advanced physiotherapy practice, who also serves as physiotherapist to the Monaghan senior men's football team and previously Armagh Mens senior football and Crossmaglen Rangers Mens senior football teams.
We invest in doing things properly. Our clinic runs objective testing with VALD ForceDecks and ForceFrame units, and provides pioneering treatment modalities such as radial shockwave therapy and Winback TECAR therapy.
We believe in delivering consistent excellence in patient centred care, by providing elite physiotherapy services to the general public and sporting community, bringing people back to doing what they love, not just delivering quick fixes.
We're growing rapidly, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us. We’re not looking for someone who has all the answers, but someone with the right attitude, people skills, and the drive to become genuinely excellent in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
The Role
Let’s be honest. You won't arrive knowing everything, and nobody expects you to. What you will have from day one is close mentorship from an experienced clinician, a structured approach to assessment and rehab, and technology that lets you measure, not guess whether your patients are improving.
Your job is to show up, be coachable, care about your patients, and commit time to your own development. We'll provide the rest.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assessing and treating sports and musculoskeletal patients with support and supervision. You'll have a clear clinical framework behind every decision, not guesswork.
- Using objective testing as part of everyday practice via ForceDecks and ForceFrame profiling, return-to-play testing, and rehab tracking that shows patients (and you) real progress.
- Building genuine relationships with patients by understanding their lives, their sport, their work, and what getting better actually means to them.
- Regular 1-to-1 mentoring and case reviews focused on your clinical reasoning, your caseload, and where your career is heading.
- Maintaining clear, accurate clinical notes, because good records are part of good care.
- Contributing to the clinic by sharing what you're learning, helping shape how we grow, and bringing energy to the place.
Who You Are
You don't need a decade of experience. You need the right foundation and the right attitude.
- You're brilliant with people. Patients feel heard by you, not processed. You explain things in plain language without talking down to anyone, and you remember the things that matter to them (e.g. the match they were building towards, the holiday they want to walk on pain-free)
- You're hungry to learn. Not having all the answers excites you rather than scares you. You take feedback well, ask questions because you genuinely want to know, and apply what you learn quickly.
- You hold yourself to a standard. You're not after an easy job, you want to be challenged intellectually. You work the same way whether anyone's watching or not, and you genuinely care how every patient leaves the room.
- You're an ‘A’ team player. You want to be part of building something, not just employed somewhere.
Is This Role For You? Be Honest
This role is right for you if:
- You're a CORU-registered physiotherapist
- People are genuinely your thing — patients, teammates, everyone.
- You want structured mentorship rather than being thrown in at the deep end.
- You're coachable; you actually implement feedback, not just nod at it and not action it.
- The idea of working with high level GAA players and learning from a physiotherapist working in high level sport genuinely excites you.
- You want to develop skills in objective testing, strength profiling, and evidence-based rehab.
- You're available for evening and Saturday clinics
- You want a role that challenges you, not one that's just comfortable.
This role is not for you if:
- You want to coast through your early career without being pushed.
- You find feedback hard to take on board.
- Patients are a list to get through rather than people to connect with.
- You're looking for a quiet, low-expectation environment.
- You see this as a short-term stop while something else comes together.
What Success Looks Like
30 days: You know the clinic, the systems, and how we work. You're learning our approach and applying it with support. Your patients feel cared for and leave with a plan they believe in.
60 days: You're managing your caseload with growing confidence. Your patients are engaged and progressing, and your testing and rehab work is becoming second nature. Your 1-to-1s are about development, not catching up.
90 days: Your clinical reasoning is noticeably sharper. Patients are rebooking because they trust you and recommending you to others. You can see exactly where your career is going from here.
The measure of success: you're becoming the kind of physiotherapist patients recommend to everyone they know — and you know it.
