Full job description

Eliteform Manufacturing is a precision sheet metal fabrication company dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Punch/Laser Operator to join our production team.

Position Summary

The CNC Punch/Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC punch press and laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC punch and laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and program selection as required.
Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improved productivity and reduced waste.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, and other production team members.

Qualifications

Previous experience operating CNC punch press and/or laser cutting equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset.
CNC programming knowledge is considered an advantage.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift materials and parts.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
