Full job description

Ratoath Family Practice is a newly established single-handed GP practice in Ratoath, Co. Meath. We are seeking a Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join the practice from September 2026.

This role is available on a part-time basis. Exact hours and working days will be discussed at interview. Salary will depend on experience

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Welcoming patients and managing front-desk enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
Answering and appropriately screening telephone calls
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Managing email and written correspondence
Processing repeat prescription requests and medical certificates in line with practice protocols
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
Handling payments and general administrative tasks
Managing incoming and outgoing post and practice communications

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is essential. Familiarity with GP clinical software would be an advantage, with training available if required.
