Role Overview

As Reward Partner, you will provide expert advice and support on all aspects of employee compensation across Irish Life. Working closely with HR Business Partners, People & Culture and senior leaders, you will ensure our reward practices are competitive, fair and aligned to our reward framework, regulatory requirements and wider business objectives.

You will act as a subject matter expert on cash compensation, leading key reward cycles and initiatives across base pay, short-term incentives and long-term incentive plans, whilst contributing to the wider Employee Value Proposition agenda.

What you will help us to achieve

In this role, you will:

Lead business‑as‑usual compensation activities, monitoring spend and cost effectiveness, staying close to market practice and helping to ensure our reward offering remains attractive and competitive.
Act as a trusted adviser on compensation matters to Heads of People & Culture, HR colleagues and senior leaders, including input to severance and other complex reward cases.
Lead the annual reward cycle for salary review, bonus and share purchase schemes, partnering with Finance and Data & Systems colleagues to ensure robust modelling, governance and a smooth experience for leaders and employees.
Manage salary benchmarking and job evaluation activity, using Willis Towers Watson / McLagan methodologies and the Global Grading System to support robust and consistent role sizing.
Own and oversee the job profile list and position management processes within SuccessFactors (Employee Central), ensuring accurate data and strong controls.
Lead on all regulatory and statutory reward reporting including annual disclosures, gender pay, ethnicity and equal pay audits, ensuring data quality and translating insights into clear messages and action plans for the business.
Support the preparation of board and HR Committee materials, producing high‑quality analysis and commentary and liaising with Group Reward and other European entities as required.
Contribute to the design and delivery of strategic reward initiatives which improve processes, efficiency and outcomes, and ensure our reward approach keeps pace with market and regulatory change.

What you will need to be successful in the role

Knowledge & experience:

Significant experience in a specialist compensation / reward role, ideally within a centre‑of‑excellence HR model in financial services.
Strong technical knowledge of reward mechanisms, including base pay, short‑term and long‑term incentive plans, share plans and pension arrangements.
Experience of Willis Towers Watson and McLagan job evaluation methodologies and the Global Grading System.
Good understanding of remuneration regulation in financial services and experience of applying regulatory requirements in practice.
Proven experience of managing end‑to‑end annual salary review, bonus and long‑term incentive processes.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, build models and provide clear, insight‑driven recommendations.
Confident user of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
Previous experience of working with HR systems, ideally SAP SuccessFactors, including Employee Central.
Experience of working collaboratively across functions and geographies, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline (e.g. HR, business, finance, maths, economics) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Membership (or working towards membership) of a recognised HR professional body is desirable.
