Full job description

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is one of Ireland’s largest full service law firms. We are a forward thinking law firm and are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our firm in the Dublin office.

This role will involve supporting solicitors across a range of practice areas, depending on departmental needs. The nature of such work will vary depending on the practice area and is suited to a dynamic individual who is seeking to work cross-departmentally.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities will include the following:

Taking instructions from solicitors.
Liaising with the client’s or 3rd party Solicitors in relation to queries.
Attending court as required.
Carry out legal research on cases as assigned.
Assist in the preparation and collation of briefs.
Liaise with clients as required by the supervising Solicitor.
Provide support for all administration tasks as required, including photocopying, filing of documents, dictations.
General handling of files post completion.
Releasing title documents and scheduling title documents.

The person

Previous experience in within a legal environment/ experience in a busy office environment
An ability to work effectively as part of a team
A proactive individual who takes pride in their work
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to deliver high quality work in an efficient manner
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office suite
A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one’s own initiative.
