Full job description

Hamilton Park Care Facility is currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our catering team. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment while supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals to our residents.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the daily cleaning and sanitisation of the kitchen, food preparation areas, dining areas, and catering equipment.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
Support the Chef and kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as required.
Ensure all kitchen areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety procedures.
Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure waste management procedures are followed.
Follow all Health & Safety, HACCP, Infection Prevention and Control, and Food Safety policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance, safety, or hygiene concerns to the Head Chef or designated manager.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required by the Head Chef or management team.

Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Desirable

Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering, hospitality, healthcare, or nursing home environment.
HACCP/Food Safety certification.
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: €14.15-€15.15 per hour
