Sales Manager / Technical Sales – Boilers & Heat Pumps

Location: Dublin
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent - www.viridusenergy.ie

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Professional to join our team in Dublin, responsible for developing sales across our residential and commercial heating portfolio.

The successful candidate will represent a range of established heating brands, including Vokèra, Ariston and ELCO, working with installers, contractors, consultants, merchants, developers and other key customers throughout the market.

This is a customer-facing role suited to someone with experience in the heating, plumbing, HVAC, renewable energy or building-services sector who can combine technical product knowledge with a strong focus on sales growth and relationship management.

Product Responsibility

The role will have sales responsibility for:

Vokèra residential boilers
Vokèra commercial boilers
Ariston residential boilers
Ariston commercial boilers
ELCO commercial boilers
Ariston residential heat pumps
Ariston commercial heat pumps

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow sales of boilers, commercial heating equipment and heat pumps.
Manage and develop relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
Build strong relationships with plumbing and heating contractors, installers, merchants, consultants, specifiers, developers and commercial customers.
Promote Vokèra, Ariston and ELCO products across the Dublin market and wider customer base.
Identify new projects and sales opportunities within the residential and commercial heating sectors.
Work with consultants, contractors and specifiers to secure product specifications on suitable projects.
Provide customers with product information and assist them in selecting appropriate heating solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial offers.
Follow up on quotations, projects and sales leads to maximise conversion.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and activity reports.
Monitor competitor activity, market developments and emerging opportunities within the heating and renewable-energy sectors.
Work closely with internal technical, customer-service and management teams to provide a high level of support to customers.
Attend customer meetings, trade events, product demonstrations and industry exhibitions where required.
Achieve agreed sales, margin and business-development targets.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in sales, business development or account management.
Experience within the heating, plumbing, HVAC, building-services or renewable-energy industry is highly desirable.
Knowledge of boilers, commercial heating systems and/or heat pumps would be a significant advantage.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable dealing with both technical and commercial customers.
Self-motivated and capable of managing a sales territory and pipeline effectively.
Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
Full clean driving licence.

Desirable Experience

Experience selling to or working with any of the following would be particularly beneficial:

Plumbing and heating installers
M&E contractors
Consulting engineers
Architects and specifiers
Builders and developers
Plumbing and heating merchants
Facilities-management companies
Commercial heating contractors

Knowledge of heat pumps, low-temperature heating systems, commercial boilers and the transition towards renewable heating technologies would also be advantageous.

You will be a proactive salesperson who enjoys developing relationships, finding new opportunities and converting technical solutions into commercial sales. You should be equally comfortable discussing a residential boiler opportunity with an installer and working with contractors or consultants on larger commercial heating and heat-pump projects.
