The Role

We are looking for an Estimator / Tender Coordinator to help manage our tender and costing process from start to finish.

This role would suit someone with experience in estimating, construction, fit-out, signage, interiors, manufacturing or a similar industry who is confident working with costs, suppliers, clients and deadlines.

We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, and would be happy to discuss a working arrangement that suits the right person.

You will initially work closely with management, who will provide guidance on products, pricing and the best solutions for each tender. Training will also be provided on our internal systems and processes.

Importantly, this isn't simply a role where you prepare a quotation and move on to the next one. We want you to follow tenders through with our customers, build relationships, understand what they are looking for and follow up on opportunities. Seeing a tender progress from an initial enquiry through to a successful project can be very rewarding, and you'll have the opportunity to see the work you've helped price and develop come to life.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Tendering

Review tender documents and identify key requirements.
Prepare accurate and competitive costings and quotations.
Work with our design and graphics teams to develop suitable solutions.
Liaise with clients to clarify specifications, requirements and expectations.
Work with management to identify the most appropriate and cost-effective signage solutions.
Request and compare supplier pricing.
Build and maintain good relationships with our suppliers.

Tender Management & Customer Follow-Up

Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
Keep track of tender deadlines and ensure submissions are completed on time.
Follow up with customers after tenders have been submitted, helping to keep them engaged and understanding their requirements and feedback.
Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Discuss tenders with customers and understand why a project has or hasn't progressed.
Record outcomes and feedback to help improve future tenders.
Provide regular updates to management on tender progress, opportunities and feedback.
Take an interest in the projects you have helped price and, where successful, enjoy seeing them develop from a tender into a completed project.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will have at least 1 year’s experience in estimating, construction, fit-out, signage, interiors, manufacturing or a related industry.

However, industry experience is not essential if you have strong commercial, organisational and communication skills and are willing to learn.

We're looking for someone who is:

Organised and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Confident working with figures, costs and quotations.
Comfortable communicating with clients and suppliers.
Proactive and confident in following up with customers and building relationships.
Interested in understanding the customer's needs rather than simply providing a price.
Commercially minded with good attention to detail.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and professional email.
Interested in learning about our products, systems and industry.
Able to work independently while also being part of a close-knit team.
