Language skills required: Fluent English (native speaker or CEFR C2)
Qualifications: Degree (NFQ level 7 or above) plus Delta (or equivalent) and at least 3 years ELT with a knowledge of GNIB requirements

Role Description
OHC Dublin, a TrustEd Ireland accredited language school in the centre of Dublin, is looking for an experienced and talented Academic Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with the academic day to day running of the school.
The main duties involve:
- line managing teachers
- helping students with academic enquiries
- interviewing and assessing new students
- timetabling classes and arranging cover as and when needed
- observing teachers as and when needed, giving detailed oral and written feedback
- monitoring teachers’ admin and class records
- inducting new students and teachers
- overseeing the delivery of the CPD programme
- representing OHC at external events as and when requested
- opening/closing classes & specialist classes (IELTS, Cambridge FCE & CAE, Business English)
- monitoring projected numbers (starters and finishers)
- managing Test Procedures (supporting teachers, moving students up)
- payroll
- recruiting new teachers (interviews, induction, Garda Vetting etc.)
The position includes a teaching component, either timetabled or as cover.
Candidates must speak and write fluent English and be highly organised with excellent time-management, administrative and IT skills. An energetic, fast learning and ‘can do’ attitude is a must. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise the workload is an integral part of the post offered. Knowledge of foreign languages is desirable.
The position of Academic Manager is offered on a full-time permanent basis, subject to successful completion of the probationary period. Hours of work are 8.30am -5pm Monday through Friday.
