Full job description

The Institute of International and European Affairs is Ireland’s leading international affairs think-tank, with a membership drawn from the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society. We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status, offering insight and analysis of key European and international policy trends. Our purpose is to inform, guide, and help shape key strategic decisions by government, business, and civil society, and to enrich the public debate. During the course of any given year the Institute hosts well over 100 events including breakfast briefings, keynote speeches; roundtable discussions; seminars; and panel discussions. Role Description

The Institute is now recruiting a co-ordinator to manage memberships and subscriptions and to help deepen interactions with our member base. We are seeking a well organised and committed individual to take charge of our membership processes and to help drive member engagement. The role will involve regular and direct contact with members, issuing and managing invitations, interacting with members at our events, and working with the IIEA management team and staff to ensure that members derive as much benefit as possible from our activities.

An important element of the role will be to manage databases, handle inquiries, billing and payments, and coordinate initiatives to ensure a seamless and valuable member experience.

The role will report initially to the Director General.

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with Database Manager and Director of Finance to ensure that membership data is accurate and maintained.

Track applications, manage renewals and cancellations, collect fees and collaborate with Director of Finance on processing fee invoices.

Collaborate with the Communications Department to draft and distribute membership emails and manage updates across the organisation.

Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports for management.

Serve as the first point of contact for member questions and feedback.

Help develop and implement outreach strategies and campaigns to retain members.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

At least two years of relevant experience.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to engage with and establish effective professional relationships with public and private sector stakeholders
Good organisational and planning abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Capability to identify and propose process improvements.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite and related.
Familiarity with LinkedIn.
An interest in public affairs and especially in international developments would be desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Pay: €39,000.00-€40,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dublin, County Dublin
