A career within PwC’s Consulting Healthcare team offers the opportunity to work with leading organisations across Ireland’s health system on their most complex strategic, operational and digital challenges. As a PwC Director, you will:

Play a key leadership role in PwC’s impact in in Ireland, driving business development practice growth, developing market offerings and strengthening PwC’s reputation as a leader in healthcare transformation.

Operate as a trusted advisor to senior healthcare leaders, guiding clients through strategic decisions, regulatory and policy change, digital transformation and organisational redesign.

Shape and lead large-scale transformation programmes, helping clients enhance patient / service users outcomes and system performance, and bring data-driven insight, strategic clarity and operational excellence to a rapidly evolving sector.

Within PwC, create a culture of quality, integrity, inclusion and commercial discipline, championing diverse perspectives, fostering wellbeing and collaboration, and helping develop the next generation of leaders.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of solutions-driven and problem-solving individuals, apply your experience and stakeholder management, to drive forward projects and programmes from strategy to execution. Responsibilities also include:

Business Development & Growth

Drive personal and team b usiness development, client relationship management and winning major healthcare contracts, and expanding relationships to develop sell-on and future opportunities.

Make significant contributions to the growth of our healthcare business through client relationship management and business development.

Inform the development of sector-wide strategy and account plans as aligned with the Consulting and firm strategy and lead implementation of these.

Drive PwC's go to market approach, offerings that differentiate PwC in the healthcare market.

Develop sector thought leadership and represent PwC as an expert in your specialist domains.

Client Leadership & Advisory

Lead end - to - end client engagements—from defining the win strategy to overseeing successful delivery of agreed outcomes and sustainable outcomes .

Act as a senior advisor to senior health system leaders, shaping transformation agendas across strategy, operations, digital enablement and service change and transformation .

Diagnose complex challenges and design practical, innovative solutions grounded in sector insight and evidence.

Delivery Oversight

Oversee a portfolio of multiyear complex transformation programmes, ensuring delivery quality, robust risk management and alignment with client objectives .

Provide subject matter expertise across service redesign, service transformation, operating model, operational excellence , health workforce, digital health, or health technology.

People Leadership

Build and lead high performing teams that embody PwC values of collaboration, inclusion and excellence.

Mentor and coach Senior Managers and Managers supporting their growth and capability development.

Take a leading role in practice development, identifying areas for capability improvement, retaining top talent and driving a culture of excellence .

Technical & Sector Expertise

Healthcare D irectors must bring deep sector expertise in areas such as:

Strategic healthcare service planning, service redesign and transformation , care pathway design and implementation of n ew healthcare service models .

Operational , financial and performance improvement and prod uctivity measures , with realisation of savings .

Health workforce with regard to broader health service or system transformation, change and implementation.

Technology -enabled transformation in healthcare with insight into change, adoption and benefits realisation of technology .

Healthcare sector procurement, transformation delivery, programme management or change management .

Healthcare c apital and infrastructural planning, or capacity and demand modelling .

Your profile :

10 -12 + years of experience in healthcare consulting with demonstrable success delivering complex transformation programmes.

Deep and demonstrable understanding of the Irish healthcare system, policy environment and sector ‑ specific challenges.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in complex, multi ‑ layered organisations.

Strong commercial acumen, including pipeline building and proposal leadership.

Ability to translate complex issues into meaningful outcomes for healthcare clients .

Experience leading and developing cross-competency teams , leveraging , global network s and / or delivery chain s .

Commitment to innovation, digital enablement and continuous improvement in healthcare.

Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.

Track record of client relationship management and winning and delivering new work within a consulting practice.

Master's degree, MBA or relevant professional qualification

Existing network of senior leaders across Irish healthcare system
