STEM Mentor / Teacher (Part-Time)€50–€70 per hour | Dublin Schools
Robotics AI Club delivers exciting after-school programmes in Robotics, Coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) to primary school children across Dublin.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and engaging STEM Mentors to join our team for the 2026/27 school year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers, SNAs, youth workers, coaches, camp leaders, childcare professionals, students and anyone who loves working with children and inspiring confidence through hands-on learning.
The Role
As a STEM Mentor, you will deliver fun, interactive and engaging after-school classes in primary schools across Dublin.
You do not need to be a robotics expert, coder or technology specialist to apply. Full training, lesson plans, equipment and ongoing support are provided.
The most important thing is that you genuinely enjoy working with children and can create a positive, encouraging and energetic learning environment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday during the school term
- Typical working hours between 12:30pm and 6:00pm
- Minimum availability of 3 afternoons per week (5 preferred)
- Additional paid opportunities available through Summer Camps, school events and occasional weekend events throughout the year
Pay
€50–€70 per hour depending on experience.
What You'll Do
- Deliver Robotics, Coding, AI and STEM classes in primary schools
- Create a fun, safe and engaging learning environment
- Support children as they build, create, problem-solve and collaborate
- Travel to schools across Dublin with Robotics AI Club equipment
- Review lesson plans before classes
- Communicate professionally with schools, parents and the Robotics AI Club team
- Participate in training and development sessions
- Support Robotics AI Club Summer Camps during school holidays
- Assist at occasional weekend events, exhibitions and STEM showcases
Essential Requirements
- Full clean driving licence
- Access to your own reliable vehicle
- Available to work a minimum of 3 afternoons per week between 12:30pm and 6:00pm
- Experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, childcare, camp, youth work or similar setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Garda Vetting clearance (or willingness to undergo Garda Vetting immediately upon offer)
- Current TUSLA Children First Training Certificate (or willingness to complete before starting)
Please note: Applicants without a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle will not be considered for this role.
No Technical Experience Required
You do not need to have experience in robotics, coding or artificial intelligence.
Full training is provided.
Our best mentors are not always the most technical people — they are the people who can inspire confidence, encourage curiosity and help children have an amazing experience.
You should be comfortable using an iPad, following lesson plans and learning new technologies with support from our team.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential)
- Experience using Virtual Reality (VR)
- Experience with Robotics, Coding or STEM activities
- Confidence using iPads, laptops and educational technology
- Teaching, SNA or educational qualifications
- Experience leading groups of children
