Role: BIM Engineer Industrial
Location: Navan or Loughrea office
Duration: Permanent following a 6-month probationary period or extension thereof
Glanua Ltd is a progressive organisation in the water and wastewater services sector. Due to continued success in the Irish Business, the company is expanding with several dynamic and exciting roles. They are looking to recruit a BIM Engineer to work on Industrial projects. This can be based in our Head Office in Loughrea or in our Industrial Head Office in Navan.
You will support the industrial team in delivering process-driven projects, with a primary focus on:

Production of intelligent P&IDs using Autodesk Plant 3D

Development and coordination of 3D process models

Supporting model-based delivery aligned to ISO 19650 principles
You will work closely with:

Process engineers
-
Mechanical designers
-
Electrical and ICA teams
-
Digital delivery team
You will play a key role in transitioning industrial projects from 2D and document-based workflows to model-based delivery

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the BIM Engineer are outlined as follows:
P&ID Development (Core Responsibility)

Develop intelligent P&IDs in Autodesk Plant 3D
-
Maintain tagging, line numbering, and data consistency
-
Align P&IDs with process design intent and standards
-
Ensure P&IDs are structured for downstream use (3D + asset data)
3D Model Development & Coordination

Develop and maintain Plant 3D models
-
Coordinate pipework, equipment, and layouts
-
Ensure alignment between P&IDs and 3D models
-
Support clash detection and coordination workflows
-
Participate in model reviews and coordination meetings
Coordination & Collaboration
Interface with:
-
Process engineers (P&ID input)
-
Mechanical designers (equipment + pipework)
-
Civil/structural teams (layouts + supports)
-
Ensure design intent is coordinated across disciplines
-
Support resolution of design clashes and issues
BIM & Digital Delivery
-
Work in accordance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)

Follow ISO 19650-aligned workflows
-
Use Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for:

Model sharing
-
Document control workflows
-
Review processes
-
Maintain structured data and model standards
Model Review & Quality Assurance

Carry out model checks and QA reviews

Use Navisworks Manage for:

Clash detection
-
Model federation
-
Coordination reviews
-
Ensure models meet project standards before submission
Project Support
Support production of:

Drawings
-
Isometrics
-
Schedules
-
Work to project timelines and milestones
-
Assist in the continuous improvement of digital workflows
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
The prior knowledge, skills and experience required of the BIM Engineer are outlined as follows:
Essential

3rd level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
-
3+ years' experience in a BIM / CAD / Plant design role
Strong experience with:

Autodesk Plant 3D (P&IDs + 3D modelling)

Navisworks Manage
-
Experience in model coordination and multidisciplinary environments
-
Understanding of BIM processes and structured workflow
-
Desirable
-
Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

Understanding of ISO 19650 principles
-
Experience in industrial or process environments
-
Knowledge of piping systems and layouts
-
Exposure to Intelligent P&ID workflows
