Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on engineer to join our Engineering team on site, supporting and improving our manufacturing processes, with a focus on insulated panel production and rollforming lines.

This is a practical, shop-floor-based role where you will be an active contributor to daily operations, while also supporting the planning and coordination of maintenance activities.

The role suits someone who is a self-starter and has a very strong practical knowledge. Extensive production environment experience and a desire and capability to lead a team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of the Engineering team, supporting day-to-day production
Keeping production lines running efficiently and safely on rollforming and panel lines
Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for issues
Contributing to the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities
Supporting preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
Working closely with operators and engineering to resolve issues
Making practical improvements to processes and workflows
Quickly taking on responsibility for coordinating and guiding a small team

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

Experience working with manufacturing machinery or production lines
Strong hands-on and proven troubleshooting ability
Proven experience of working with mechanical/electrical and control systems in production
Comfortable working on the shop floor in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience in rollforming, steel, or panel manufacturing
A recognised technical qualification
Exposure to maintenance planning or scheduling
Familiarity with production systems / ERP

Able to plan ahead while dealing with day-to-day issues
Looking to move into a team lead or supervisory role over time
