Full job description

Role

The Business Development Executive will drive commercial growth by generating and qualifying leads, managing sales opportunities, re-engaging lapsed accounts, and nurturing existing clients. The role blends new business development with commercial growth and revenue generation. This role is based in our Limerick office:

Unit 8, Ashbourne Business Park, Dock Road, Limerick. V94 KR94.

Experience

3-5 years' experience in business development or marketing within an SME or B2B setting.

Experience in commercial management or relationship-focused roles.

Demonstrated success in generating leads, qualifying opportunities, managing pipelines, and closing deals.

A third-level degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively generate new business through outbound activities.

Qualify leads rigorously using a structured process.

Assist in preparing quotations and proposals.

Maintain and update Salesforce CRM with comprehensive client records.

Extend outreach beyond initial contacts via multi-touch, multi-channel approaches.

Systematically apply upselling, cross-selling, and referral generation strategies.

Support account management through consistent client engagement.

Re-engage lapsed and lost accounts to create new opportunities.

Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation campaigns.

Track and report against defined sales KPIs.

Key Performance Indicators

Number of new leads generated.

Number of qualification conversations completed.

Frequency and effectiveness of outreach.

Opportunities created and conversion rates.

Upsell and cross-sell achievements.

Referrals secured.

CRM usage and data hygiene.

Skills & Competencies

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.

Organisational ability and time management.

Demonstrable ability with Salesforce, Sage 50 accounting, and MS 365 Office.

Remuneration

Base Salary: €37,000

Performance Bonus: Quarterly discretionary performance-related bonus following successful completion of 6 month probation.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time position.
