About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organised Mental Health Hub Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our multidisciplinary mental health service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing a modern, client-centred mental health hub that delivers high-quality psychological care and wellbeing services.
This is a part-time hybrid position, combining remote working with regular on-site presence at the Mental Health Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing service operations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supporting service development, and contributing to research and programme innovation. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires collaboration with clinicians, staff, and service users both in person and remotely.
The hub provides a comprehensive range of services including:
· Individual, couples, and family psychotherapy
· Psychological and psychoeducational assessments
· Mental health screening and consultation
· Group programmes and workshops
· Wellbeing and psychoeducation services
· Additional support services designed to improve psychological health and community wellbeing
The successful candidate will work closely with our clinical team to ensure excellent service delivery while contributing to the ongoing development of innovative psychological interventions, internal research initiatives, and evidence-based mental health programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mental Health Hub across both in-person and remote service delivery.
· Coordinate client referrals, appointments, and service pathways.
· Ensure the efficient delivery of psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and support services.
· Manage administrative systems, digital workflows, and operational procedures.
· Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, data protection requirements (GDPR), and organisational policies.
· Monitor service quality and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Clinical Service Coordination
· Support psychologists, psychotherapists, and other clinicians in the effective delivery of services.
· Coordinate multidisciplinary communication and case management processes.
· Assist in the development and implementation of new mental health services.
· Monitor service demand and contribute to workforce and resource planning.
Programme Development and Research
· Contribute to the design, development, and writing of evidence-based psychological intervention programmes.
· Assist in developing psychoeducational resources, treatment manuals, and wellbeing programmes.
· Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of intervention programmes using current psychological research and best practice.
· Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of internal Mental Health Hub research projects.
· Support the collection, analysis, and dissemination of service evaluation and research data where appropriate.
· Work collaboratively with the clinical team to translate emerging research findings into practical, evidence-informed interventions and service improvements.
Leadership
· Provide day-to-day leadership to administrative and support staff.
· Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and client-focused culture.
· Support staff induction, training, and professional development.
· Assist with recruitment and onboarding where required.
Quality and Governance
· Ensure services operate in accordance with ethical and professional standards.
· Support clinical governance and risk management processes.
· Contribute to policy development and organisational procedures.
· Prepare operational reports and service performance data.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
· An undergraduate degree (Level 8 NFQ or equivalent) in Psychology (essential).
· Excellent organisational and project management skills.
· Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop professional documentation, contribute to psychological intervention programmes, and assist with research outputs.
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital client management systems.
· Knowledge of GDPR, confidentiality, and professional standards relevant to healthcare settings.
· Ability to work independently while effectively managing responsibilities across a hybrid working environment.
· Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable Criteria
The following would be considered an advantage:
· Postgraduate qualification in psychology, mental health, behavioural neuroscience, or a related discipline.
· Experience working within psychological services or multidisciplinary mental health teams.
· Experience coordinating psychotherapy or psychological assessment services.
· Experience contributing to research projects, service evaluations, or academic publications.
· Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions.
· Experience or academic training in behavioural neuroscience.
· Experience in programme design, evaluation, or service development.
· Experience with quality assurance, accreditation, or clinical governance processes.
