Full job description

Welder Fabricator

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications.
Manufacture and assemble fabricated components to the required dimensions and tolerances.
Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, presses, grinders and other workshop machinery.
Prepare materials for fabrication, including measuring, marking out, cutting and fitting.
Assist with welding processes where appropriately trained and authorised.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
Identify and report defects, quality concerns or equipment issues promptly.
Work collaboratively with welders, machinists, engineers and other production personnel.
Maintain accurate production and quality records where required.
Meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area in accordance with company procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve productivity and quality.
Comply with all Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good measuring and fabrication skills.
Knowledge of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good problem-solving ability.
Experience in precision engineering
Welding experience or certification.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Relevant fabrication qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
