The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and supervision of site activities, including subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials. The role ensures that all construction works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
Ensure all site activities comply with company HSE policies and legal requirements
Enforce safe systems of work and ensure adherence to RAMS
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
Carry out regular site safety inspections and report findings
Ensure all personnel are trained, competent, and compliant with site rules
Quality Control
Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and standards
Identify and rectify defects promptly
Carry out inspections and support quality assurance processes
Ensure completed works meet client expectations and sign-off requirements
Planning & Coordination
Supervise and coordinate site workforce and subcontractors
Monitor daily progress against programme schedules
Support short-term lookahead planning and resource allocation
Manage plant, equipment, and materials efficiently
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate site records (diaries, progress reports, returns)
Ensure permits, RAMS, and other documentation are in place before work starts
Attend and contribute to site meetings
Report progress, delays, and risks to senior management
Commercial Awareness
Monitor productivity and support cost control measures
Minimise waste, delays, and unnecessary overtime
Report variations, delays, and potential cost impacts
Work within allocated budgets and programme constraints
Leadership & Communication
Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors
Resolve on-site issues and conflicts effectively
Communicate clearly with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders
Support development of junior staff and trainees
Requirements
3–5+ years’ experience in construction (UK or Ireland preferred)
Experience in supervising site operations and subcontractors
Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
Valid driving licence
Strong communication and leadership skills
Relevant site safety qualification (e.g. SSSTS / SMSTS or equivalent)
Pay: €52,509.63-€77,635.87 per year
Work Location: In person
