Full job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bar Supervisor / Senior Bartender to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy hospitality environment and demonstrate strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must have experience across bar service, coffee preparation, wine service, and cocktail making, with previous supervisory or management experience essential. Immediate availability or the ability to start soon is highly desirable.

Preferred , but not essential skills

Minimum 2 years experience in bartending or hospitality
Strong cocktail knowledge and experience preparing classic and signature drinks
Barista experience with the ability to prepare high-quality coffee beverages
Sommelier or strong wine knowledge, including wine service and recommendations
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
Flexibility for weekend and midweek shifts
Experience handling opening and closing procedures

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits, coffees, and other beverages to a high standard
Lead and support the bar team during service
Oversee daily bar operations and ensure smooth service flow
Manage cash handling and till procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas
Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and ordering
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Train and mentor junior staff where required
Carry out opening and closing duties, including securing the premises

Pay: €15.00-€20.00 per hour

Ballina, County Tipperary: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Bartending: 2 years (preferred)
