Abbey Court Hotel is seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused Reservations Manager to join their team in Nenagh. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven hotel reservations professional with a strong track record of delivering results, maximising room occupancy and ensuring the hotel remains competitive within the market.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with a proven track record of managing revenue and reservations in a similar hotel.
The role requires a strong understanding of:
Technology – Property Management System, Channel Manager, Website Booking Business Intelligence Tools.
Pricing – Setting and negotiating B2C and B2B rates.
Customer segmentation
Distribution - Direct bookings and management of OTAs.
Analysis – KPIs and metrics across the business
Reporting – daily, weekly and monthly
This role requires excellent communication skills and a detail orientated individual. Effective time management skills and the ability to work to an exceptional standard in a busy hospitality environment.
The key purpose of this role is to maximise room occupancy and support commercial performance by ensuring that all booking opportunities are managed effectively, accurately and professionally. The Reservations Manager will be expected to identify the right customer demographics to target, recognise booking trends and business opportunities, create attractive offers and packages, and ensure the hotel is positioned competitively in the market.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
· Managing all reservation enquiries and bookings
· Pricing – B2C and B2B
· Monitoring room availability and booking trends
· Demand generation
· Website booking engine – seasonal package creation and distribution
· Channel management – direct, OTA, GDS
· Benchmarking and competitive set analysis – STR
· Generating commercial reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
· Room performance update at the weekly commercial call
· Ensuring best practice in use of technology systems and process
· Strong administration skills - prompt, professional communication with guests and relevant internal stakeholders.
· A commercial mindset - strong focus on converting enquiries, driving occupancy, maintaining standards and delivering a high level of customer service will be central to success in the role.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in a hotel reservations role at a similar level.
· A demonstrable track record of achieving results in room occupancy, booking conversion and commercial performance.
· Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A professional, articulate and confident manner when dealing with guests, agents and colleagues.
· Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to an exceptional standard at all times.
· A systems‑driven approach, with experience using hotel PMS, booking systems and related reporting tools.
· Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to identify relevant market segments, develop competitive offers and support occupancy growth.
· Meet Legal requirements to work in Ireland
