We are seeking an experienced Construction Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Mayo. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment across construction projects while promoting best practices and full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Monitor compliance with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
Support site management in implementing health and safety procedures.
Deliver site inductions and safety briefings to employees and contractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.
Ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
Promote a positive health and safety culture across all project activities.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and engage effectively with site teams.
Full driving licence.

Pay: €52,509.63-€77,635.87 per year
