Full job description

Banagher Precast Concrete is currently seeking a skilled Civil or Structural Engineer to join its team in Banagher, Co. Offaly. This role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to progress into a senior position as their experience grows.The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, diligent, and a strong team player, with solid technical knowledge of structural engineering and construction processes. They should be motivated, willing to take responsibility, and capable of working effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of project design, including attending meetings, contractor coordination meetings, site visits, and site inspections.
Design, supervise, and monitor prestressed and reinforced concrete structural elements across a range of civil and structural engineering projects.
Design precast concrete elements for buildings in accordance with Eurocodes.
Prepare both manual calculations and computer-based designs using software such as Tekla Structural Design, Robot, and TEDDS.
Maintain and organise design documentation and folders.
Prepare design drawings and review drawings produced by colleagues and external parties.
Assess and review contractor submissions and design team proposals.

Requirements

Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous experience within the precast concrete industry and/or a relevant engineering consultancy environment would be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Design, Robot, or similar 3D structural design software.
Strong understanding of structural design using a variety of materials in accordance with Eurocodes.
Full clean driver’s licence.
